Yes, I took delivery of mine about 2 hours ago and I’ve just managed to get it working a few minutes ago, the set-up is what I’d expect but actually doing it proved more of a challenge than I expected.
In order to set this unit up I had to use the manual set-up procedure as described in the manual but not mentioned in the review I sent to the list earlier. The manual process involves holding down the Volume up button for 4 seconds on the front panel to establish a network connection so you may go to the HTML Interface and configure the Z2. Unfortunately the volume controls - whilst marked with a - and + respectively - are touch sensitive and you need to precisely put your finger onto the control, this can be both a blessing and a curse, you certainly won’t knock these controls and frighten yourself to death with a sound too loud <smile>. Anyway the unit is now running on the right of me on my desk and sounding pretty good. I’ve put the iPhone into the Dock and I prefer the Lightning Dock over the older 30 pin dock, the iPhone feels far more secure attached to the newer type of doc. ********** Dane Trethowan [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> Skype: grtdane12 Phone US (213) 438-9741 Phone U.K. 01245 79 0598 Phone Australia (03) 9005 8589 Mobile: +61400494862 faceTime +61400494862 Fax +61397437954 Twitter: @grtdane ======================================= The Techno-Chat E-Mail forum is guaranteed malware, spyware, Trojan, virus and worm-free To modify your subscription options, please visit for forum's dedicated web pages located at http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/mailman/listinfo/techno-chat You can find an archive of all messages posted to the Techno-Chat group at either of the following websites: http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/pipermail/techno-chat/index.html Or: <http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]> you may also subscribe to this list via RSS.
