Yes, I’m having the NBN put on next week as my ADSL service along with my standard phone line is marked to be terminated in early September so thought I may as well get the whole thing over and done with.
The main reason is for peace of mind, I’m able to have both ADSL and NBN services running in parallel to be sure that the NBN service is working flawlessly before the ADSL is cancelled. Am I expecting any surprises in performance? Well no.. not really given that I’ve opted for a 25MBPS plan and - with my ADSL connection at present - I get a 1.7MB download speed which I’m told for ADSL isn’t too bad. I doubt I’ll even be surprised of the NBN doesn’t even work, I’ve heard more bad stories about NBN than good though perhaps I can be pleasantly surprised if it does work <smile>. ********** Those of a positive and enquiring frame of mind will leave the rest of the halfwits in this world behind.
