Hi!

List members will know I use an Asus router here though I'd be telling porky's if I sand I know everything about this Router, I certainly don't and I have a couple of questions that someone may know the answer to and they concern the Radios of the Router.

Firstly I notice that the user can control the band width - up to 80MHZ -.

I take it that the wider the band the bigger data flow but why would you want to regulate band width in the first place, don't Wi-Fi Routers have a standard band width or do they regulate the band width according to transmitting and receiving conditions.

Second, I notice various channels can be allocated for each Radio Wi-Fi Band - the RTAC3200 Router has 3 in total - 2 5GHZ and 1 2.4GHZ, so far so good - but what are these different channels for? I notice the standard channel allocation, then there's a control channel and an extension channel.

Thanks In Advance
