If you're looking for a battery charger that chargers most types of
rechargeable battery on the market today then take a look at the
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/201366476594
I bought this item from eBay in Australia but I'm sure that the charger
is available in other parts of the world.
The charger runs from a USB power supply and its recommended that a 2.5A
USB supply be used, I use a 15 Watt 3A supply on mine.
I've done some initial testing with the unit using a set of 4 AA 2000MAH
batteries.
The charging time wasn't fast - around 12 hours - however charging was
comprehensive without a doubt.
I inserted the now charged batteries into my Eton Satellit radio which I
know plays for around 24 hours on a fully charged set of batteries and
the set of batteries I charged in the new charger went well beyond
playing the radio for 24 hours, aorund 28 hours actually.
The charger has a LCD display which indicates the status of each
charging battery - up to 4 can be charged independently at the one time
- and you use a push button to toggle the display between each charging
battery.
If the button is held down the display is turned off and only the status
lights for each battery compartment are displayed and this is the mode I
prefer to use as I can use a light probe to see if the batteries are
charged or charging, the lights seem to flash as the battereis are
charging but remain still when batteries are charged.
