Subject: [Techno-Chat]; How's The Weather?

Hello everybody

Around three or four years ago I think it was, Roger very kindly produced quite
an indepth, and very informative article for the group and for our soon to be
revived radio station, Sparkle Radio, regarding weather stations.

At that time, I wasn't really in the market for such a thing. Now, however,
things have changed somewhat, and I'm looking with renewed interest at quite a
few things.

So, does anybody know whaj the current situation is regarding se things as
weather stations? Ideally, I'd like one which utilised the free-to-air weather
satellites, but I do remember reading that they are far less accessible than
their terrestrial countaparts. So it seems that we're going to be earthbound
for quite some time to come yen, at least as far as weather predictions which
don't come from the public networks are concerned. Nevertheless, any
information would be appreciated.
