Yep, a busy weekend ahead exploring the new instrument. The Casio Piano arrived late yesterday afternoon and I was quite surprised at what I found when I opened the box.
All I actually found in the box was a huge nylon padded case with an all-round zipper. Upon unzipping the lid the piano was revealed covered in foam packing. In the lid of the case were a number of pockets bolting with accessaries such as 2 foot pedals, power supply and so on, no doubt about it the piano can be transported from point A to Point B easily enough but I’m not sure the description of “portable” would be the exact term I’d be using, its a heavy little mite and I’m glad the handles on the case are tough enough to take the load. The Piano doesn’t come with a stand but they’re easy enough to get. The layout of the instrument is straight forward, the standard piano type keyboard behind which are displays and buttons. The keys feel absolutely lovely, that wonderful feeling you get when you’re playing a conventional piano, I’m only sorry that today’s going to be a busy one otherwise I’d be playing the Casio now, more on the piano as I discover. ********** Those of a positive and enquiring frame of mind will leave the rest of the halfwits in this world behind.
