Hi!

There's a most interesting review of hthe Samsung Note7 in yesterday's local paper.

Amongst the many fantastic features of this phone is the ability not only to take notes using the included stylus using the bundled Samsung Notes App but the extension of the note taking facility to third party Apps such as Microsoft Onenote, the reviewer does state that he finds it preferable to use the Onenote App for taking notes as the notes taken can be synced across devices using Onenote so this got me thinking.

Suppose someone takes a note with a Samsung Note7 using the included stylus which would be the logical way to go for most people when it comes to taking notes and I received the note as a shared note, would there be any way I'd be able to read that Note? I'm wondering if the whole note taking system is powerful enough to be able to use some sort of OCR platform somehow.

Yes, I am considering upgrading to a Note7 towards the end of the year but not for this feature alone obviously.

I do miss the feel of the Samsung Note4 with its bigger screen.
