So the dust is beginning to settle after the recall by Samsung of the Note7 and
here are some stats that put the whole unfortunate episode into perspective.
Samsung recall two and a half million Note7 units world wide due to reports of
units bursting into flames because of faulty battery cells.
Of those two and a half million units thirty-five were found to indeed have
faulty battery sells.
Samsung sold sixty thousand Note7 units in Australia and of those two units
were found to have faulty battery cells.
A waste of time perhaps? Well hardly as we don’t wish personal injury or damage
on anyone <smile>, it cost Samsung a lot of money but at the very least I think
it a very good PR move and its good to see a company put their users first when
it comes to the question of safety.
A Samsung Galaxy Note7 for my Christmas stocking me thinks.

Those of a positive and enquiring frame of mind will leave the rest of the
halfwits in this world behind.
