This is the latest project I've taken on, restoring the radio to its former glory. Thankfully the one I managed to get hold of doesn't seem to be in a terribly bad condition, something happened to the bass knob so the previous owner replaced that with an unoriginal knob but who cares! the bass adjustment works regardless. Only other thing I can think of to do with the set is to get someone to align it so I'll be contacting the Wireless Institute of Australia to see if they can recommend anyone who would like some pocket money to do the job <smile>. All controls seem to be clean but the FM is certainly out, never heard of an FM dial ending at around 107MHZ <smile> Anyway I found an interesting review/article on the subject of restoring one of these radios and thought other list members may find it of interest. At the time of the radio's production - and still today - the Panasonic RF2200 is thought to be one of the best performing AM Portable radios on the Planet.
