I've been a fan of Diskeeper for a long time, one of the other members
of the list put me onto the software and - by that time - I knew
Diskeeper had a legend like status in the software world but it was only
when I installed the Diskeeper software did I really come to fully
appreciate just what a difference Diskeeper can make to the speed,
performance and reliability of your Windows system.
There's a lot to the Diskeeper package technically but all you - as the
consumer - have to know is that you're only required to do two things,
buy/install the software and forget about it and there aren't too many
software packages out there that could be easier to work with <smile>
With Diskeeper installed gone are the days of running the Windows De
fragmentation tool, Diskeeper runs in the background and - even then by
default - the software only runs when other tasks running are at a minimum.
Over the years I've seen Diskeeper evolve into an ever more powerful
platform to the point When Diskeeper is installed - fragmentation of a
drive doesn't even occur due to the "intelliwrite" technology used by
the software to prevent fragmentation.
Now in version 16 Diskeeper has gone even further in the quest to speed
up your system by allowing the user to have the software use DRAM caching.
Ever since Windows 10 launched last year I had been wondering when we'd
see an upgrade to Diskeeper 15 and furthermore I had been scratching my
head wondering just how Diskeeper could be made any better than it
already was, I have the answer, I've been trialing the new version 16
for 5 days now and I've certainly noticed speed increases - yet again -
on my Windows Desktop PC where I use Diskeeper Pro.
Apps not only launch faster but they function faster and I've noticed
this in particular with the Firefox Web Browser which I use all the time.
I don't use the fast start-up of Windows 10 preferring to use the older
boot-up method and even this has speed up considerably.
If you're an existing Diskeeper 15 user then the upgrade to Diskeeper 16
Pro costs $40, well worth it too in my opinion.
