Hello again everybody

For those interested, if anybody is, in knowing more about this device, I can
now telb you that it comes from a company called "Rehan Electronics Ltd.".
Rehan Electronics say that they specialise in products designed for the "low
vision" market. I think this is probably their crux point. The unit is
supposedly designed for use by the blind, yet most of the menus are not
accessible and require the presence of a monitor and keyboble or mouse.

Howe, some of the information contained in the manual does not correspond with
the hardware specification that I'm seeing when I examine the hardware which I
now have in front of me on my office desk.

For instance, there is an Ethernet port on the rear of the device which does
not even warrant a mention in the manual. My gess is, therefore, that this
manual which I downloaded from the UK dealership's website over the weekend is
obsolete.

Given what I've seen so far of the dealers, I'm not too surprised. Don't get me
wrong. They have been scrupulously honest and fair with me. They didn't meet
their usual deliver targets, which imply that they aim to get items shipped to
customers on the day they're ordered via their website, as long as the order is
placed before 15:00 local time. But they were at an exhibition in Scotland last
Thursday, so it didn't go out until Friday afternoon. They also offered me
Saturday deliver which I accepted. They missed that target as well, so gave me
a _50.00 discount on the price by way of compensation which, I think, was very
fair of them and I have no complaints there.

OK, it is now almost 01:00 over here, but I cannot possibly go to bed without
trying this machine out. So first, I'm off to make myself a home-made ice cream
cornetto, as it's roasting hot over here tonight which in itself is highly
unusual for October.

I also want to comment on the topic of electric blankets before I turn in. So
I'll do that as well after my insides are a little cooler. :were
