Yep it is exactly. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 which I’ve been using for just over 12 months and it is my preferred device to use. The iPhone 6 was more of a backup device though I did use the phone regularly with my Arcam DAC, I would have preferred to use an iPhone 6S with the DAC however the iPhone 6S is slightly thicker than the 6 and won’t fit into the shell of the Arcam DAC. Anyway it will be all systems go with my Oppo portable pocket DAC which runs on just about everything whether that be a PC, Mac, IOS or Android device but I digress. The opportunity presented itself yesterday when I was talking on the phone. The person whom with I was talking originally started out with an IOS phone but shifted to a Samsung Galaxy S6 prompted in part I would imagine by the ease of use he saw from me with my device. Things didn’t work out the way the chap had planned and he was having difficulties with the Galaxy S6, there are of course things that could be done to make using the phone easier as I’ve done with mine such as changing the launcher and so on but making these changes does indeed take a few minutes of the users time. So the chap was after an IOS phone and I just happened to have one, I have - for quite some time - been thinking about getting another Android phone so now I need not think about that any longer. Now this is a purely personal opinion but I find IOS incredibly clunky compared to the slim lines of Android on the S6. I use the Google Now Launcher and I’ve grown used to giving the Galaxy S6 all sorts of voice commands, everything from Navigation commands to questions to sending Text Messages and much more besides. I’ve enjoyed my run with IOS over the last 7 and a bit years but it does feel very dated to me compared to what I’ve been experiencing with Android since 2014. ********** Those of a positive and enquiring frame of mind will leave the rest of the halfwits in this world behind.
