Hello Everybody I just thought I'd give you a progress update on this issue, as I've been contacted off list by several members.
The problem turned out to be far worse than I had thought. Basically, we have a corrupted spam configuration which, for some reason, instead of ignoring traffic to the group from group members, (which is what is supposed to happen), the Spam Assassin agent is behaving in exactly the opposite way. It is treating anything which originates from outside of the serv's own local accounts as spam positives, or spam suspicious. I am atvively working with the server developers to try and kill this problem. Please be assured that I am taking it very seriously, as are the developers. We do know how irritating members must find this, and I would just ask you to be patient for a little while longer. It is being worked on as I write.
