Hi! As people are aware I’m in the process of reinstalling a Mac machine from the ground up. To explain how I have things set up here, my iMac is wired to my network via its LAN port and my iPhone - only other Apple product I’m using at the moment - is connected to the home network via one of my 3 Wi-Fi networks I have here, 1 Wi-fi network for a different purpose which we can discuss in another topic perhaps. So there I was installing everything on my iMac not dreaming for one moment that the Wi-Fi functionality of my iMac was being used. I took a look at the Wi-Fi option in the status bar and discovered that Wi-fi was showing a signal of 4 bars. Further examination revealed that the Wi-Fi of my iMac was connected to the same network that my iPhone was connected to so what goes on? Does iCloud remember or transmit the Wi-Fi connection details of your iPhone to ensure both Mac and iPhone are connected to the same network? I. Can understand that to a degree I suppose because in theory that would make for a better connection between iPhone and Mac for such things as FaceTime, Messaging, Hands-off etc.
