I have just tried generating the @ symbol using Outlook and it worked for me using dots 4-7. I’m not sure why it doesn’t work for you but could it possibly be how JAWS is set using braille? Roger. If I’m at the desktop or wherever, and insert Dot4+Dot7, JAWS comes back with “At”, which is what I would expect. However, when I try this in an edit filled, such as the Skype or Outlook. Configuration box, in the edit field, JAWS is coming back with what sounds like “Dot4 A L”. It isn’t an @ symbol that’s being entered.
