Fair question I think as I really need to attend to my Outlook skills (lack thereof) myself so I’ll be taking a look at the JAWS Training library to see what’s written about Outlook there if anything.
In the meantime I’m not a fan of that ribbon though we’re stuck with it so will have to make the best of a bad job. I seem to recall that to reply to an eMail you use the standard ctrl-r command, at least that’s what I did to initiate this reply I’m working on now. To send the eMail when you’ve finished writing I think is alt-s and here’s where something interesting happened when I first configured and tested Outlook on my Windows desktop, I used the standard ctrl-enter send key for Mozilla Thunderbird and outlook then popped up a dialogue box asking if I’d like to use the ctrl-Enter key combination from here on to send eMail so that make things very simple. Technology Enthusiasm! <[email protected]> Subject: [Techno-Chat]: Any JAWS & Outlook 2016 Experts Out There? Hello everybody OK, this is going to sound like quite a dum question, but here goes. It’s been so long, as I am routinely a MacOS user, since I tried using Outlook 2013 or 2016 and I have never before done so with JAWS as my screen-reader. So, here goes. What are the hot keys for sending, replying to and other message manipulation actions? The ribbon menus are now totally alien to me, as it’s been so long, as I said, since I tackled them. Any tips, on or off list, very much appreciated. ================================================= My compliments and kindest regards Gordon Smith: <[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> > Accessibility & Information Technology Support Specialist..
