SAM Broadcaster has always been accessible. In fact, it’s probably the most all-round accessible broadcasting solution available for Windows. Even more so than Station Playlist Creator Professional which, in some instances, requires scripting to use it with JAWS as I understand it. Specifics, since it seems I need to qualify my every comment in order that some people don’t misread them, the Track tools, Voice Track Recorder, etc.. Generally speaking, for most everyday use, it works fine.
The problem with SPL, I think, is that it’s a little too “basic”, in some respects. Visually, it looks just like a basic text editor. You can cut, copy & paste, just as you’d expect to be able too and that is not a criticism, quite the contrary. However, there are certain areas which don’t give the broadcaster total access to what’s going on, what’s coming up and when. But for sure, if you’re looking to establish an Internet or small studio broadcast system, you could certainly do a lot worse than SPL for your music playing software. SAM Broadcaster is more functional, in as much as it has direct website integration built-in, without the need for additional PHP scripts which have to be purchased as an add-on. That is the case with SPL. And even then, it doesn’t work entirely seamlessly. Indeed, it’s quite sloppy in some areas. ================================================= My compliments and kindest regards Gordon Smith: <[email protected]> Accessibility & Information Technology Support Specialist..
