This just goes to show that companies should stick to what they know best. Apple has a long history in the multimedia market, which is why iTunes is so well established I guess. But it’s worth pointing out that there are other methods of managing one’s iOS content, backing up and synching, as well as playing music both locally and from the device. For example, there is iMazing, which gives you effectively another USB drive so that you can drag and drop your content as you please. MacX iPhone Manager is another example of same, and they have a promotion on at the moment whereby users can get a free licensed copy of their manager product.
Of course, there’s always a catch and, I guess, in this case, it’s that the license expires as soon as the next minor release is posted.
