So I’ll tell you how I did this as I couldn’t think of anything else so I took a chance on performing a complete reset - erasing all data and setting back to factory defaults - on my Sony xPeria x-Performance phone. I tried pairing my Logitech K480 board again and this time the pairing didn’t time out and I was able to enter my pairing code successfully so now down to the business of reinstalling, reconnecting and so on.
