One thing is for certain, Skype no longer have the marketplace to
themselves as they once did not all that long ago.

For example if you have Microsoft Office 365 and its installed on a
machine where you wish to use Skype then you cannot use the Classic
Desktop version of Skype and as far as I know there’s no workaround
to bypass this.
