Microwave Panasonic M#NN-C980B, Intermittent unit shut down.
This is a mw/convection unit still under warranty.
Cust. (friend) has had this unit in for warranty repair 4 times and each time no fault found.
Unit has been tested, circuit boards soldered, tap test given to check for microphonics.
The unit performs flawlessly.
Cust. takes the unit home and after a few uses it fails.
He has had his hydro checked, outlet checked etc.
As a friend I bench tested the unit at my shop and after several tests the unit failed.
The unit fails in m/w mode only.
This unit will operate most of the time but then will shut down after 2-3 sec's.
It appears that as soon as the magnetron is energized the load is refused and the unit stops.
All other functions remain normal.
Once shut down generally the unit will stay in this fault mode for some time.
I suspect noise affecting the microprocessor, I have checked for grounding etc.
Anyone have the answer to this one, obviously Panasonic doesn't.

Thanks in advance
