Problem below fixed by replacing the outputs, bottom board..2 2sd313 and 1 2sb507
Now, both phono outputs are intermittent and not consistent. Tapping, flexing boards,
wires and I can not
generalize the problem. I remove the two switches, cleaned them and no help.
When it goes off, the relay clicks and anywhere from a second to a few seconds clicks
back on.
Tuner plays consistently..thanks to ABL Elect and others for their responses on that
problem.
Thank you.

Subject: [Techs] Pioneer Audio SX1010, intermittent tuner audio

Unit came in with intermittent tuner audio. Other inputs are fine.
I traced the problem to a PCB on the bottom of unit, right beside the AGC fuse board.
PCB has an intermittent connection somewhere, flexing the board and I can make the
problem come and go.
I've been all over this PCB with a magnifier, soldering iron, cleaning it with
print-kote solvent. I've
pulled the large capacitors, cleaned the glue from under them, remove the three
transistors on the heat
sink, cleaned the terminals and replaced them. I checked the traces near the screws
for the heat sink,
especially. I did find one solder pad with a bad connection and replaced that. I
checked voltages while
unit acted up and didn't find any missing. Moving each wire one each terminal does not
affect the problem,
so I am convinced the problem is on this board. I shine a bright light and checked
with magnifier and am
stumped. Has anyone ran into this problem?
Thank you.
