Sony HMD-A400 monitor mfd. 2001/2 Power up unit, LED green, relay clicks on then unit shuts down, LED blinks orange. Unit was previously staying on as long as it had signal for short time, but noticed screening had slight retrace as if screening adjusted to high but on fly where it says screen theres no adjustment. Just a G2 and a focus and they both adjusted just the focus when it was staying on. Unit almost completely enclosed, requires ALLOT of dismantling to get into to check anything. I also found a post and reply below on a different model but same symptoms. I'm not to familiar with sony monitors, especially with no print or info. Whats best place to get info on this, unless anyone here is familiar with this unit... "joe" =============================== POST I FOUND: =============================== Sony CPD-E220 monitor power supply and HV are ok but low G2 and switches on with signal then shuts down after 30 seconds steady orange flashing led. =============================== These units are lemons.� Sony will replace between certain serial numbers because they cannot supply eeproms & microprocessors.� Do not try to fit blank eeprom or it will blow in a big way ===============================
