In mild cases yes.... It depends on the amount of corrosion, but it does displace Windex and stop the process along with most of the corrosion.

I never have. I typically replace the switches as they are so cheap. i get them for about .35 or so each from several sources. I would be afraid the switches would be so corroded they would fail in a short time. The last RCA I had with that problem, even the board was corroded and an OEM replacement with all the switches was only about $12.00.
