The difference is the size of memory in the chip, plus probably the pin-out. You can get 24C02, 04, 08, etc from many suppliers including Digikey. They are blank though, not programmed for anything. Some equipment will automatically load in the values on power up (I heard that Panasonic TV's do that) and other equipment such as RCA tv needs to have the chips already programmed. I think I have some scrap HP monitors around here but they are mostly 15 inchers. Maybe the eeprom would work though. I'll check later tonight for those.
