If I remember right the cap is about 1" across and 2" tall. Typically the top bulges, the heatshrink wrap on it has shrunk or 1 lead will corrode off on the underside of it and the electrolyte leaks out.
Once I got in 6 in 1 week with that exact same problem. They always seem to come in batches of 3 or more in just a couple of days.
I replace that cap and check B+ reg.
Another symptom to check that cap for is the set will work just fine on reduced line voltage but when you hit about 110 the horiz loses sync & the picture"sort of flops on its side". Quick & dirty test for that bad cap. Also check the others in the VR circuit for bad ESR. 90% of the time that one cap cures the problem though.
Problem is epidemic in many other chassis of that vintage too. I love getting those sets in as its quick $$ for little parts cost. I always replace with a 105C temp cap.
