Or a bad CRT (had one that appeared to be the splitter via the method Jeff mentioned, except that new splitter block made no difference). Further troubleshooting revealed that if leads to each respective CRT were removed one at a time from the output side of the block, the set would come on when the bad CRT lead was removed. Just trying to let everyone know to automatically condemn the block right off that bad without further checking.
