Use the schematic and a scope probe to isolate the problem. Luck has nothing to do with it.

Joe, Panasonics are very bad for intermittent problems like that. Just try soldering the rest of the connections, that you skipped over last time. I know it's a poor way of trouble shooting,...but, sometimes that's all your left with. You may have to remove solder from some of the most likely places, like reg. ICs, relay, and H.O.T., etc., to see of the trace is in tacked. Then put FRESH solder down. Good luck, LLW LeRoy Westlund Westlund TV & Electronics 97 North Main "Where there's a will,... Panasonic Model: CT27S18S Symptoms: with chassis removed, very intermittent as far as being very touchy, sometimes you can beat the heck out of it and nothing as far as acting up. Then theres times you can breath on it or touch it anywhere and it just goes screwy, and then do the same to correct it. Cannot isolate bad connection. This unit is one of those that every time you think its fixed, put the back on, and there it goes acting up again. Its definitely a bad connection of sorts, PC or internal part, which I believe it to be, such as a bad cap leg. I had this unit in shop about 2 weeks ago. After numerous attempts at soldering literally everything except the cure, i gave it the torch routine on bottom side of total pc board. Tested unit for several days and it seemed OK. WRONG.... Cust called today and is bringing in 2-morrow.... apparently lasted a few days then intermittently started acting up again enough to call back. All i need to know is, has anybody had similar problem with this unit. Cust already knows problem and is very cooperative. So, again i guess i'm just going to have one of those sets that will be on bench for quite awhile as i just play with it... TIA for anything...
