Hi Joe:

I have not been able to find my manual for the 1655, thought I had one.
What I did find was the schematic for the 1653.  No TR1, other things that
don't match.
What transistor did you use for TR1?
I have a shorted diode, D9.  I had replaced D2, 3, 6, and 9 a couple of
years ago, using ECG109s.
