Hi Gang, This unit is causing a severe video smear, and low brightness range. I'm almost sure there is a bad e-cap either in the power supply, or a video ckt. Has any of you guys seen this problem before ? I know there is an exchange price from Dish on these units,...but,...why should we miss out on an opportunity to make a few bucks on a repair like this ? The customer is willing to pay, and it would only take about 30 minutes to fix it if I knew which cap was causing the problem. Don't make me check them all,...cause I hate pulling e-caps on this type of PC boards.
