As much as some of us don't like XP, as a computer tech we still
have to work with it. Well, I have been saving PC repair articles
for years and this one is just tops (haven't had the opportunity to
try it yet - hope it works as well as he says!).

I have been using a similar technique (using the Recovery Console
to copy the registry files in the Repair folder to the Config
folder) with excellent results. So I have a good feeling about this
one. This guy is obviously not an amateur anyway.

Next time you get a box with XP badly crashed and a repair reinstall
is not possible (because Dell was nice enough to supply only their
modified version of XP which only does a Fresh install), try this:
