We are looking for a Senior ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) Developers to assist in the design and implementation of a vendor-supplied Special Education Student Information System (SESIS). The ETL Developer will focus on the migration of source system data (mix of legacy and distributed) to SESIS and developing interfaces between SESIS and the existing systems. SESIS (Special Education Student Information System) is a COTS (Common Of The Shelf) vendor-supplied, configured and managed solution that will be used to track the full case-cycle of a student requiring Special Education Services within New York City. The Sr. ETL Developer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: * Work with the DIIT (Division of Information and Instructional Technology) Data team to facilitate the implementation of SESIS Data Architecture * Support the Vendor's analysis, design, build, test and documentation of the complex SESIS Data Conversion and Integration solutions * Support user acceptance test activities for the SESIS Data Conversion and Integration solutions * Monitor vendor activities related to SESIS Data Conversion and Integration * Perform vendor deliverable review and approval for SESIS Data Conversion and Integration * Work with other data analysts, business users and IT professionals to ensure that data requirements are met with the highest degree of integrity and efficiency that is practical and cost effective * Design and develop ETL code using IBM's Data Stage suite of ETL tools * Ensure that documentation is captured, maintained, understood by and available to business and/or IT partners She/he will work as a member of the SESIS deployment team reporting to the SESIS Project Manager. Required Skills · 5+ years with IBM's DataStage ETL suite of products · 8+ years experience with ETL and data quality tools · 10+ years professional experience · Demonstrated experience in designing and documenting conversion and interface specifications · ETL design and development skills and technical documentation experience · Proven knowledge/experience in ETL performance tuning · Sound knowledge of SQL and RDBMS, including MS SQL Server and Oracle · Proven ability to produce high quality, bug free and highly scalable work · Excellent analytical skills, detail and process-oriented · Proven ability to coordinate activities with business and technical teams · Excellent communication skills · Prior experience with Legacy data conversion and cleansing highly preferred · Prior experience working on large IT vendor supplied COTS deployment projects for the Education or Government institutions preferred *Regards, Murtuza Contractor [EMAIL PROTECTED] 305-897-2060*
