Position: Oracle Payroll Techno Functional Consultant

Location: Denver, CO

Duration: 6+months

Rate: Competitive

*Need Locals only*

I have a client here in Denver that needs an Oracle Payroll hands-on,
functional and technical resource to start immediately. This person will
need:

1. Functional and Technical expertise

2. Very strong English

3. Understands API's, and good understanding of workflow

*Here are some notes that might help:*

Version: 11:5:10

Application running for: 1 year

Payroll Service: ADP

Payroll Employees: 5000

Payroll Runs: 4 separate payrolls with 2 frequency pay runs per pay period

Discussion:

Implementers (consultants) and subject matter experts (SME) have left the
organization. This has lead to a reduced knowledge base and frequent
troubleshooting and firefighting.

Current issues indicate that the Payroll system is not setup accurately

Current Users do not have adequate training. Users follow previously
documented Step by Step instructions. If anything out of the ordinary
happens they do not know how to fix the issues that come up as a result.

Known issues are manually fixed and there are cases where the mistake in
payroll is found after people get a check. This is usually corrected by
cutting a check for the difference.

There is interdepartmental integration between Advanced Benefits, HR, IT and
Payroll with issues being attributed to IT rather than payroll or other
interdependent modules

There is no process in place for payroll changes due to Union updates.
Notification of a change may be immediate to may be less than 2 weeks to
affect changes into the next payroll. This requires a techno-functional
resource that can configure, develop, test and deploy Fast Formulas and
continue to support the payroll process.

Immediate need (till end of Feb 2009):

   1. Techno-functional resources that can configure, develop, test and
deploy Fast Formulas and continue to support the payroll process. Should be
   conversant with Payroll API's
   2. Adept at troubleshoot reports and handle Payroll Crisis for changes in
   payroll and fix know issues.

Ongoing Need to address Payroll Issues (starting now to determine next Phase
after Feb 2009):

   1. Review current setups for Payroll and document the same
   2. Document known issues
   3. Modify and correct exiting setups to fix known issues
   4. Revise the training manual and update with new training and
   troubleshooting steps
   5. Evaluate and advice on a streamlined payroll process and methodology
   going forward
   6. Design and Develop Audit Reports
   7. Design and Document a standardized process for
Receiving/Approving/Implementing Payroll Additions, Changes and Updates
