We have an excellent long term (1 yr plus) contract opportunity for someone
in the Austin, Houston, or San Antonio metro area. Prefer someone in San
Antonio as you will need to be on site there 1 day per week. You will be
able to work remotely most of the time.



1. FatWire CMS:

-Detailed knowledge of administration, content publications and
troubleshooting.

-Experience with template development and modification.



2. Apache 2.x Web Server

-Detailed knowledge of configuration files, virtual servers, "mod_rewrite",
troubleshooting and performance tuning.



3. JBoss Java Application Server

-Detailed knowledge of configuration files, database connectivity,
troubleshooting and performance tuning.



4. Oracle Database

-Basic knowledge of PLSQL, user/security administration, basic maintenance
and performance troubleshooting.



5. Java Server Pages

-Detailed knowledge of Java and JSP as it relates to modifying and creating
FatWire templates.



6. Web Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) -Ability to modify and customize
web pages written using HTML 4.x and CSS.

-Basic understanding of JavaScript.



7. Linux Redhat Enterprise Server

-Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix commands required -Ability to analyze log
files, restart services and use RPM for package management.







Here are the duties required:



1. Ensuring the continued running of the FatWire environment. On a daily
basis this would include:



-Acting as a single point of co-ordination -Receiving and analyzing daily
performance reports/logs for the website and associated databases.

-Identifying any concerns resulting from the analysis of the logs.

-Checking for any issues with the FatWire front end and back end environment
-Monitoring for any tickets -Ensuring that existing tickets are being acted
upon -Raising tickets with as appropriate for any new issues -Working on
maintenance of the Oracle environment which under pins the FatWire
environment -Schedule and co-ordinate preventative maintenance (e.g.
patching) as required to follow industry best practices



2. Maintain user accounts and assigned privileges for FatWire content
management system



3. Provide day to day support and basic training for editors in their duties
for content management within FatWire



4. Implementing minor modifications to the existing FatWire environment.
These modifications would not change the framework of the site, the major
functionality or the taxonomy.



5. Understanding the HTML site design and functional decisions as they
relate to the running of the site.



6. Understanding the FatWire design and functional decisions as they relate
to the running of the site.



7. Being an additional resource to the rollout team for additional sites.



8. Being available on special occasions when operational situations require
out of hours work, will be recompensed with time off or overtime.



9. In the event of a disaster, you would be involved in the restoration of
the site.
