Skills: The Computer Forensic Engineer will have solid experience in conducting computer forensic analysis as well as certain critical aspects of computer forensics such as report writing, concordance, working with customers, managers and other personnel. In addition, the CF Engineer will provide effective computer forensic solutions for all internal investigations. Responsibilities are to be knowledgeable and proficient at customer contact, onsite and remote data captures, data recovery, forensic analysis, documentation, report writing, technical support, affidavits, depositions and court testimony, as needed. Responsibilities will include: • Provide effective Computer Forensic solutions following accepted protocols, processes, and Chain of Custody. • Conduct effective Computer Forensic work using established tools and techniques or by researching and becoming proficient in the use of new techniques. This applies to onsite, networked, in-lab imaging, data recovery, forensic analysis of media, operating systems, file data, and email, etc. • Meet expected or enhanced timelines for customer out put, concordance, and reports, based upon findings per customer's objectives. • Provide effective professional communication with customers through all forms of communication including direct contact, voice, email, fax, etc. • Utilize proven corporate methods and techniques used for conducting forensic investigations. Qualifications: Skills Required: • Extensive hands-on experience with laptops, desktops, etc… • Extensive hands-on experience with forensic investigations of systems • Understanding of Network Architectures • Experience with e-mail based systems • Substantial experience with 3rd party forensic software (FTK™ a plus) • Data Recovery Tools knowledge and/or experience. (Imagemaster™ a plus) • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Report writing skills • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs, or the weight of a PC system or monitor. • Ability to work during, or cover, abnormal shifts for onsite and/or emergency jobs.
