The Market Data Services group consists of Architecture, Engineering, Operations Support and Business Administration service functions. The global team consists of about 65 professionals located in North America London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Australia and Singapore.
This position reports directly to the Global Head of Market Data Architecture. The role is for an architect to develop, manager and perform development support, Design and R&D functions focused on next generation market data, network, and distributed computing technologies supporting business strategies. The primary functions of the role are: v Support global business and development technology projects and roadmaps v Help develop long term MDS technology roadmap v Coordinate cross technology working group for lab testing. v Create test plans and documentation v Coordinate regular vendor sessions and working groups Qualifications Required: * Bachelors' Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required, Master preferred. * 5+ years experience UNIX/Linux * 5+ years experience TCP/IP Networking, routing, multicast technologies. * 5+ years experience programming (C++ or Java) * Project management * Strong documentation skills * Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills will be required for this role. Knowledge areas of particular relevance are: - Tibco Rendezvous messaging - LBM Middleware - Grid Computing - InfiniBand - Hardware Acceleration and FPGA Desirable: * Reuters RMDS (inc. RTIC, P2PS, DACS, DTS) * Wombat, MAMA/PAPA * Reuters APIs, SFC/RFA * Perl and UNIX shell Scripting skills or Visual Basic is desirable.
