Please see the requirement below with our Pharma client located in Horsham, PA: Start Date: ASAP Date Received: Tue Jan 13 00:00:00 EST 2009 Duration: 9 - 12 months Expenses: Included Pay Per: Hour Employment: Contract Description: Our client is embarking on a new project implementing new functionality in one of their plants and they require the services of an MM/PP-PI consultant. This role will require changes in production planning and sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes in a process industry environment. Experience: * Minimum ten (10) years of hands-on experience in system configuration preferably in process industry such as pharmaceuticals in PP/PI, MM and SD modules of SAP R/3 system 4.7 release and above. * Must have a minimum of a bachelor degree in engineering, or mathematics or operations management. Preferable with masters degree in industrial engineering or management with specialization in operations research. * Must have working knowledge of production planning and sales and operations planning (S&OP) process in process industry environment. * Must have deep knowledge and hands-on configuration / development experience in Logistics Information Structures (LIS),Flexible Planning module, Planning Types, implementation of user-exits in planning types. * Must have completed a minimum of two projects in production planning, MRP, MPS, LTP and S&OP. * Must have experience and knowledge of MRP, MPS, LTP (Long-Term-Planning) - Configuration, Master Data settings and Transactions. Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in implementing production planning solutions in process industry (preferably pharmaceuticals) and working with end-users in implementing MRP/MPS/LTP modules. * Must have experience in defining resources, bill-of-materials, master recipes and production versions with capacity requirements and scheduling formulae and setting up corresponding master data. * Must have experience in defining the capacity and scheduling evaluation profiles, capacity leveling profiles with graphical displays. * Must have knowledge and experience in procurement process from Requisition to Receipt - all aspects of the process, configuration, master data and transactions. * Must have knowledge and experience in batch management in SAP R/3, defining classifications and characteristics, batch number scheme, assigning them to materials and orders and derivation rules. * Must have experience in AS-IS process mapping and TO-BE design with business requirements documentation skills. * Must have experience in documenting business and user requirements and converting them into functional specification documents for hand-over to development team. * Must have experience liaison with off-shore and on-site ABAP development team to successfully develop programs to meet the business requirements and functional specifications, have them tested thoroughly and validated for deployment. * Must have experience in SAP security model analysis and mapping out the requirements for segregation of duty between plants and user positions. * Must have exposure to ABAP programming techniques, but need not be a programmer. * Must have excellent documentation skills, and inter-personal communication skills. * Must be a self-starter and go-getter and innovative thinker to look beyond the ordinary and traditional way of doing things. Preferable: * Knowledge of all integration points in SAP R/3 between PP/MM/SD. * CSV (Computer System Validation) documentation experience in an FDA controlled environment. * Local candidate who can be on-site five (5) days a week. * Open to foreign travel, mostly to Netherlands and Ireland. * Knowledge of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) processes * Knowledge of Webmethods technology for portal integration with SAP R/3 system for VMI. * APO knowledge and / or experience is preferred.
