I am currently looking for a Informatica ETL developer for an opportunity with an extremely high profile client.
Position type : 6 to 18 Months Contract Location : Billerica, MA or Portsmouth, RI Rate : OPEN US CITIZENS ONLY!!!!! Description: This position is for an Extract Transform Load (ETL) / Data Warehouse developer with work location at Billerica, MA or Portsmouth, RI at candidate choice. Position will be filled on an initial consulting term of approximately six months with possible extension to eighteen months. Candidate must have strong data analysis skills and hands-on experience with Extract-Transform-Load and Data Warehousing technologies. This person will be responsible for integration of engineering performance data between various on-line transactional systems. Candidate must be fluent in both relational and dimensional data modeling concepts, data modeling strategies, normalization and index efficiency analysis. Strong Oracle skills are a must. Candidate must have extensive experience in implement data transformations and mappings using Informatica Powercenter. Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidate must be able to work independently, and be highly motivated. Must haves skills/experience: * Experience in creating transformations and mappings using Informatica Powercenter and processing tasks using Workflow Manager to move data from multiple sources into targets. * Experience in creating of transformations like Lookup, Joiner, Rank and Source Qualifier Transformations in the Informatica designer. * Experience in performance tuning of targets, sources, mappings and sessions using various components like parameter file, variables, and dynamic cache, round robin, hash auto key, and key range partitioning * Experience in integration of various data sources like Oracle, SQL server and flat files into staging area. * Experience in writing, testing and implementation of the PL/SQL triggers, stored procedures, functions, packages. * Excellent knowledge and experience in creating source to target mapping, edit rules and validation, transformations, and business rules. * Excellent analytical and logical programming skills with a good understanding at the conceptual level and possess excellent presentation, interpersonal skills with a strong desire to achieve specified goals. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Desired Knowledge, Skill and Ability: * Knowledge in using Informatica to process data to and from Java message queues * Experience creating complex mappings using Unconnected Lookup, Sorter, Aggregator, newly changed dynamic Lookup and Router transformations for populating target table in efficient manner. * Experience in ETL mappings, analysis and documentation of OLAP reports requirements. Solid understanding of OLAP concepts and challenges, especially with large data sets * Experience developing logical and physical data models that capture current state/future state data elements and data flows using relational modeling tools such as Erwin. * Knowledge in Java/J2EE programming language * Knowledge of data warehousing concepts such as from Kimball, Inmon or Linstedt (data vault). * Knowledge of the engineering data domain, including software defect containment, and change notices. * Experience in Unix shell scripting for automating the execution of file movements and workflows. * Experience with XML/XSL/XSLT * Experience with Web Services * Prerequisites for this position: * Candidates must have with a minimum of 3 years-related experience. Degree in Computer Science or related field is highly desirable.
