Position Description: The Client IT Infrastructure (ITI) is seeking a Market Data Services Engineer who will provide production support for Reuters and Non-Reuters MDS infrastructures. We require a wide-ranging set of technical skills, business knowledge and client facing skills. One of the primary goals of the Engineer is to enhance the quality of service of all MDS infrastructures by ensuring that business areas and users are getting the most from their products and services, too minimize downtime of services and to implement innovative solutions that provide an ideal experience for the customer. The candidate should ideally have extensive experience with Reuter's RMDS. Substantial Unix and Market Data Service knowledge is essential. Experience Required: . Four year degree . Minimum 5 years experience with trading floor support. . Reuters RMDS support and implementation is ideal. . Have strong UNIX skills (command line & scripting) is a MUST . Proficiency in scripting under PERL, CGI and SHELL. . Knowledge skills of networks (UDP, TCP/IP and Multi-Cast). . Have good relational database skills (preferably Sybase) . 4 years experience with support of Reuters Plus, Bloomberg, Bridge, CQG, NASDAQ, Thomson Analytics, Factset, and more. . Have good organizational and communication skills. . Must have excellent problem solving skills, be detail oriented and have superb written and verbal communication abilities. . Be able to interact well with both Business and Technical personnel. . Be self-motivated and take responsibility for seeing tasks through to successful completion. . Must have strong understanding of the vendor market data feed offerings including Reuters RDF, Bridge, Bloomberg and Direct Feeds from Exchanges . Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and vast experience with Excel including DDE and Macros. .
