Title: Storage Engineer Location: NYC Duration: *3 – 6 months * Skills: The WebMD Portal Operations team is looking for a senior-level storage engineer to complement its Infrastructure group. Day to day responsibilities of the group include the provisioning and oversight of servers and storage in a heterogeneous Windows/Unix environment, monitoring of system resources including the SAN fabric, TCP/IP networking troubleshooting, setup of HBA and mulitpathing software on hosts, monitoring and reporting on health/performance of all nodes on the fabric and system documentation. Day to day responsibilities of this position include setup of HBA and mulitpathing software on hosts, LUN creation and provisioning, NAS share creation and provisioning, monitoring and reporting on health/performance of all nodes on the fabric, and documentation on all procedures and configuration related to the above. Basic Requirements: * In-depth knowledge of EMC Clariion and Celerra product lines, both hardware and software * Experience with McData/Brocade fabric switches * 5+ years of system administration experience. * Working knowledge of HA strategies (RAID, clustering, etc). * Knowledgeable in HA and BCP concepts (RAID, SPOFs, etc). * Experience with performance tuning/capacity planning of servers (hardware and software levels) as related to storage. * Ability to write simple scripts to automate processes.
