*Title : Production support consultant Location: Colorado Springs, CO Duration: 1 year + * *Job Description:* Production Support position for highly visible Mission Critical applications. Application support includes: Monitor application processes; respond to application and server issues, network, and other performance issues; monitor system interfaces and system web services; respond to scheduled and unscheduled system outages; perform data fixes when required; perform restarts when processes hang, monitor system capacity daily; perform root cause analysis; help coordinate system upgrades, patch upgrades; perform code deployments in production; provide 7X24 on-call support on a rotating basis; support releases/maintenance activities; represent Team in meetings/conference calls Ideal candidate's requirements - Strong UNIX background proficiency a must (HP-UX and SUN Solaris) with extensive experience in Midrange/Open systems environments; strong SQL experience; knowledgeable in Oracle and SyBase a plus, ability to identify and implement performance enhancements in the form of Shell scripts, Perl scripts. Must be a self starter and able to perform with minimal supervision.
