*JOB TITLE: **Sr DB2 UDB Application DBA*** Location: Midtown, Manhattan, NYC Duration: 6+ months *Location* USA - NY - New York *Position Description* This position requires a senior level, hands-on database engineer. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with DB2 on linux and will have a diverse background in database technologies and the architecture, design, development and optimization of large scale database implementations. *Skills Required* * 3+ years of DB2 DPF with extensive current experience on v8.2 or above on LINUX platforms. Experience with V9.5 a plus. * 5+ years of advanced SQL experience * 5+ years of solid relational datbase administration * Excellent understanding of the effects of normalization and denormalization on data integrity and performance. * Proficiency in UNIX scripting using KSH, SED, AWK and Perl * Excellent analytical ability and strong communication skills *Skills Desired* * Experience with datawarehouse and star schema modelling * Exposure to database modelling tools like Erwin Please call me if you have any questions.
