User Acceptance/Interface Architect***Locals for F2F required***

Location: NYC

Duration: 13 weeks

Rate: 60 - 65/hr. 

***2 American references needed***

Qualifications:

*         Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Industrial Design or
Human Computer Interaction (HCI) degree (or equivalent experience) 

*         Ideally 5+ years interaction design / information architecture
experience, 3+ years online design experience, 3+ years consulting
experience, 3+ years of management experience, 1+ years usability inspection
methods experience, 1+ years user centered design research methods
experience, and 1+ years conducting usability assessments and user
interviews 

*         Must have significant experience evaluating web-based applications
and sites for usability 

*         Heavy experience designing transaction based web applications

*         Experience with Usability Testing

*         Capable of leading/supporting user research activities 

*         Proven ability to interpret and communicate technical information
into business language and vice versa

*         Experience working with CRM applications a plus

 

Job Duties

*       Working closely with stakeholders to understand business
requirements and translate them into detailed design mockups 
*       Develops concept models and prototypes to help align clients on
envisioned solutions 
*       Leads participatory design sessions (paper/interactive) and
contextual evaluations to provide client groups with UE and UI expertise and
guidance 

*       Coordinates and administers user testing, usability testing and
product evaluations 
*       Documents user research findings and analyses 
*       Serves as a human factors/usability expert 
*       Guides team through user-centered research methods matching
methodology to need 

*       Conceptualizes and implements interaction design concepts in online
environments 
*       Collects and analyzes both quantitative and qualitative data to make
design recommendations based on test results, usability standards, and best
practices 
*       Defines tactics for navigation and content workflows 
*       Gathers user requirements; translates requirements into site maps,
page flows, storyboards and presentation specifications 
*       Directs and guides user testing with mockups and prototypes 
*       Generates presentation solutions (user-flow, navigation, layout,
taxonomy, templates) 

*       Ensures consistency across solutions delivered by the organization
