Position: Clinical Application Analyst

Location: Boston, MA

Requirements:

* Bachelor Degree
* 5 - 7 years experience in clinical information systems
* Strong project management skills
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal skills. 
* Ability to cooperatively and effectively work with people from all
organizational levels and build consensus through negotiation and diplomacy.

* Ability to understand the work environment and competing priorities in
conjunction with developing/meeting project goals. 
* Ability to manage a project, its dependencies, team members, other
resources and timeline; and to prioritize and delegate accordingly. 
* Strong PC skills required, knowledge of PC applications, e.g., Microsoft
Office Suite, MS Project, Visio, and PowerPoint preferred. 
* Ability to facilitate and work within a complex, multi-site environment. 
* On-call support as assigned (includes evenings, nights, weekends and
holidays). 
* Must be able to travel between work and hospital locations.

Description:

Our client is looking for an Application Analyst with clinical
implementation experience to work on an Acute Care Documentation project and
the resources associated with this project. The project will encompass the
implementation and support of a vendor application for inpatient clinical
documentation (e.g., Flowsheets, Notes, Task List Assessments, Plan of
Care). 

 

Key Responsibilities:

* Work closely with vendor representatives, hospital management and clinical
users to define business needs, develop project approach, scope and
implementation plan to meet both system and operational objectives. 
* Develop IT strategies and solutions that comply with client's standards
and strategic directions. 
* Work with technical team to define and document all interface/integration
points and develop detailed plans for acceptance testing. 
* Plan, manage and oversee project, utilizing recognized project management
methodology.
* Manage other projects within the context of the larger environment
including competing priorities, staffing levels, budgetary concerns. Provide
ongoing project status reports and timely problem escalation reports (with
potential solutions if applicable) to both management and project steering
committee.
