Location – San Jose, CA *Duration: After 6 months, * *Knowledge & Experience* - Experience in leading successful large-scale data warehousing efforts. Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting multi-terabyte data warehouses. - Current knowledge of the data warehouse market, vendors, and standards bodies. - Strong technical skills with all data warehousing technologies (e.g., ETL, ODS, DBMS, BI). - DBMS technologies - IBM DB2 (UDB) is essential and MS SQL Server will help. ETL technologies including Informatica. BI technologies including Cognos. (preferred but not must. Should have working knowledge atleast). - Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices. - Hands-on experience with data architecting, data mining, large-scale data modeling (normalized and multidimensional), and business requirements gathering/analysis. - Hands on experience of both Inmon and Kimball approaches to data warehouse implementations. - Broad based information technology experience (e.g., languages, methods, EAI, XML). - Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. - Experience with Travel Industry computing platforms, applications, and metrics. -- -- --The referral of your friends and colleagues are appreciated.
