UNIX Admin (HPUX, Solaris, Linux) Location: Waukegan, IL Length: 6 months Start: ASAP Interview: Phone / F2F – LOCALS Preferred Rate: $40/hr C2C Solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environments, understanding the principals of routing, client/server programming, and the design of consistent network-wide filesystems. Solid understanding of the Unix based operations system: understands paging and swapping, inter process communication, devices and device drivers, can perform system analysis and tuning. Ability to solve problems quickly and completely. ** · *Must have recent (within the last 5 years) working experience as a Unix Administrator. HP-UX , Solaris, and Linux is required.* · *Can configure NFS and NIS, use nslookup or research to check information in the DNS..* · Must have excellent troubleshooting skills and must be able to provide user support over the phone and in person. · Strong analytical and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required. · Understanding of Database, Web, and Client Server technologies. · Experience working in a highly regulated environment is desired. · Knowledge with *Korn Shell and Perl is required.* · *Veritas Volume Manager and Cluster knowledge is required.* · Experience with security tools such as *Power Broker and VAS* is preferred.
