Title: HL7 Data Modeling Lead
Location: Pleasanton, CA
Duration: 9 months
Rate : $ 55/Hr. CTC
Duties/Responsibilities
* As the Data Modeling Lead, you will oversee, and directly contribute
to, the roles and responsibilities of the Information Strategy Technology
Platform Data Modeling team.
* You will drive the creation and enhancement of the Enterprise logical,
dimensional and physical data models for Clinical & Health Plan databases for
analytical and decision support systems.
* You will collaborate with a team of Subject Matter Experts, Vendors,
Technical Project Managers, etc to effectively deliver projects & initiatives
and you will require the capability to work in large cross-functional teams.
* You will contribute to enterprise-wide strategic planning, technical
governance for information exchange & harvesting, as well as assist in managing
tactical responses.
Basic/Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree required, preferably with emphasis in computer
sciences, Information Systems, Engineering, HealthCare or Medical Informatics,
* At least 5 years of proven Data modeling in a large enterprise data
warehousing and analytics domain.
* Proficiency in Data Modeling best practices and tools, including Erwin
* Knowledge of Clinical and/or Health Plan information models.
* Familiarity with following technical realms: application architecture/
Service Oriented Architecture/ web applications/reporting/ decision support
systems/databases.
Familiarity with the following concepts, with expertise in at least two
-Dimensional Modeling
-HL7 V3 Reference Information Model
-Medical Informatics
Excellent problem resolution and data analysis skills. Must be able to
present complex data/concepts in a clear, understandable, and meaningful way
for reporting to upper management. Strong written and verbal communications
skills, including effective meeting management; prepare and present
(PowerPoint/Visio); documentation templates for various procedures when needed.
Good analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Able
to work well as part of a team as well as be self-motivated. Must be open to
flexible work schedule to remain in-step with project and organizational needs.
This position may require travel up to 15%.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Healthcare industry technology/standards and emergent technologies
preferred.
2. Expertise with Healthcare data exchange, terminology and coding
standards (HL7, SNOMED CT , ICD, CPT, LOINC, etc).
3. Familiarity with at least one major EMR/EHR vendor product, e.g. Epic
4. Familiarity with InterSystems Cache DBMS is a plus.
5. Clinical Data Model
6. Consulting experience is preferred.
7. Experience working in a matrix environment preferred.
