This person will be responsible for Governance, Strategy and Project work for the Storage/Backup area. Governance: Oversee and manage an SLA with a support vendor who is responsible for the maintenance, operations and repair services. Strategy: Bring experience and industry knowledge to architect solutions for Customer in the Storage and Backup area. Build roadmaps and operate toward Customer goals. Projects: This position is required to perform hands technical work to accommodate small to medium projects in the environment and orchestrate the implementation of larger projects through the management of vendors and third parties. Experience: Hardware: DMX3, Celera, Centera, Cisco SAN switches, Rainfinity appliances Software: ECC, Symcli, Celera manager and command line, Navisphere, TSM " Interfacing closely with clients and other support personnel, perform Storage Administration tasks. " Perform administration tasks for LUNs on storage appliances and servers. " Design SAN solutions, must understand functions of storage appliances and SAN switches. " Deploy, configure, and maintain SAN switches. " Deploy, configure, and maintain SAN and NAS storage devices. " Utilize expertise with operating systems including Solaris, and Windows. " Configuring external storage devices attached to the systems. " Diagram and implement LUNs on storage appliances. " System tuning and capacity planning activities geared towards meeting specified Service Levels. " Data migrations between SANs, LUN Creation, Presentation and Masking. " Adhere to corporate change and problem management principles. " Languages: Perl, Shell Scripting.
