Skill: Programmer Analyst I or II (primary SUN JCAPS resource) Location: Houston, TX Duration: 3 to 6 months Rate: $Open The client is looking for programmer analyst I or II, primarily SUN JCAPS resource to backfill production support. Below are the details: * This position is primarily responsible for maintaining continuous proactive monitoring of the various application interfaces of the EAI group. * When a system issues arises, this person must respond to system warnings, alerts and errors and use appropriate technologies, both third party and internal, to diagnose and resolve the issues. * Expected to have entry level knowledge of the software development life cycle including planning, development, coding, testing, migration to production, and the maintenance and production support of applications within environments including many of our enterprise application integration interfaces. * Responsible for all production migrations and version control. * Knowledge of code structures and languages such as Java, C, C++, Oracle, PL-SQL, etc. as well as knowledge of PC equipment and software, LANs, knowledge of Windows NT, OS/2, and UNIX operating systems. * Ability to communicate about technical issues to non-technical client end-users is required. This position has a flexible shift structure some on-call and Saturday shifts will be required.
