Job Summary: The City of San Antonio (COSA) Finance Department and
Information Technology Services Department (ITSD) will be embarking on
requirements gathering, business process review and business case
development for the installation of an enterprise-wide Point of Sales System
(POS) that will integrate with COSA's SAP system. The POS is expected to
serve as a front-end cashiering system as well as an integration point from
some existing department-specific sales systems to SAP. On the back-end, the
system will send transaction and revenue information to SAP. The goals of
the project are to determine the City's needs related to a POS, to identify
a potential vendor for a POS, and to develop a business case and ROI
analysis for the solution.
